Sri Vijaya Puram, Dec. 4: The Directorate of Industries organized an awareness session on the Prevention of Sexual Harassment (POSH) Act, 2013 yesterday in the Conference Hall for its employees, including staff from the Industries Deptt., the District Industries Centre (DIC), and the Khadi and Village Industries Board (KVIB).
Shri Atul Soni, Director of Industries, graced the session and urged all Officers and staff to familiarize themselves with the Act’s provisions to ensure a respectful and safe work environment, especially for women employees. Ms. Rubina Khatib Siddiqui, POSH Trainer & Consultant conducted an elaborate and interactive session, explaining in detail the objectives, procedures, and responsibilities under the POSH Act. She emphasized the importance of building sensitivity and accountability at every level of an organization to prevent workplace harassment.
