Sri Vijaya Puram, May 5: In view of the ongoing recruitment process conducted by the Forest Department in the Southern Group of Islands, the Directorate of Shipping Services has made special arrangements to facilitate the transportation of candidates/ passengers.
An exclusive sailing has been scheduled to enable aspiring candidates from various islands to attend the recruitment process conveniently. This initiative aims to ensure equal opportunity and accessibility for all eligible participants, particularly those residing in remote and southern island regions.
In this regard, the vessel MV Kalighat will sail for Campbell Bay via Little Andaman, Car Nicobar, Chowra, Teressa, Katchal and Nancowry on 07.05.2026 (Thursday) at 0700 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail back to Sri Vijaya Puram on 09.05.2026 (Saturday) at 1200 Hrs from Campbell Bay via same route.
Passenger tickets for the above sailing will be issued to the general public from 06.05.2026 (Wednesday) at 0900 Hrs onwards. Tickets can be booked online through the DSS e-Ticketing Portal: https://dss.andamannicobar.gov.in/ eticketing. For user convenience, a QR code linking directly to the portal is also available.
Alternatively, tickets can also be purchased from STARS Ticketing Counters.
