e-Challan System Brings a Transformative Change in Traffic Law Enforcement

Sri Vijaya Puram, May 18: The implementation of the e-Challan system has brought a transformative change in traffic law enforcement by replacing the traditional manual system, the digital platform has ensured greater transparency in handling traffic violations and its benefits are now being widely availed by the general public.

Citizens are reminded that they receive SMS alerts with challan details and can conveniently pay fines online by clicking the link sent to their registered mobile number. This hassle-free digital payment option eliminates the need to visit traffic offices and ensures a smooth, contactless experience.

The public is encouraged to avoid paying challans in cash and instead use the digital payment options to ensure complete transparency and accountability. This aligns with the Hon’ble Prime Minister’s vision of Digital India, promoting a more secure, efficient and technology-driven public service system.

Further, all holders of the old booklet-format Driving Licences are advised to upgrade to the Smart Card format at the earliest by visiting their nearest Transport Office with the required documents.
