On the joyous occasion of the 80th Independence Day, I extend my warm greetings and best wishes to the people of the A&N Islands.
Independence Day is a proud reminder of the unparalleled courage, sacrifice and unwavering resolve of our freedom fighters, whose selfless devotion secured the freedom we cherish today. It is an occasion to reaffirm our commitment to the ideals enshrined in our Constitution—justice, liberty, equality and fraternity—and to work together for a stronger, more inclusive and self-reliant India.
The A&N Islands occupy a unique and revered place in our nation’s freedom struggle. The historic Cellular Jail stands as an enduring symbol of the indomitable spirit of countless patriots who made immense sacrifices for the cause of India’s independence. Their legacy continues to inspire us to serve the nation with dedication, integrity and a deep sense of responsibility.
As we celebrate this historic milestone, let us renew our resolve to contribute wholeheartedly towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047 by fostering unity, sustainable development, innovation and social harmony. Together, let us strive to build a prosperous, secure and resilient future for our Islands and our Nation.
