
Sri Vijaya Puram, May 3: The Holiday Camp–2026, organized by the Science Centre, commenced today in its auditorium at Goodwill Estate. Inaugurating the Camp, Dr. Jai Sunder, Director, Central Islands Agricultural Research Institute, underscored the critical role of science in addressing contemporary challenges and shaping a progressive society. He also lauded the Science Centre’s consistent efforts in organizing such holiday camps, which he said, play a pivotal role in nurturing scientific temperament among the youth from an early age.
In his address, Dr. Manu Vashishtha, Curator, Science Centre stated that the holiday camp will feature a variety of activities, including hands-on experiments, interactive sessions and exposure trips.
Earlier, in his welcome address, Shri. Debashis Paul, Education Officer, Science Centre informed that around 115 students from government and private schools are attending the camp, which will continue until May 31, 2026.
