Billiground, May 3: On 01/05/2026, acting on credible information about illicit liquor brewing in the Kargil Tikrey forest area, a team from Police Station Billiground swiftly conducted a search operation at the site.
During the search, the team recovered approximately 200 liters of fermented wash (lehan) used for the preparation of illicit liquor. As no claimant was found at the spot, the recovered wash and related materials were destroyed on-site following due legal procedure.
This operation reaffirms N&MA District Police’s zero-tolerance policy and commitment to stringent action against illicit liquor activities, ensuring public safety.
