Sri Vijaya Puram, May 29: The Housing & Estate Department, Andaman and Nicobar Administration had developed Automated Allotment of Government Accommodation Application (AAGA Portal) through IT Department i.e. SOVTECH and launched on 25/03/2021. It provides end to end solution with no manual intervention for allotment and an attempt has been made to make a paperless solution. It had built in feature of online verification by DDOs, Medical Department (for medical cases) and H&E Department for further verification.
Now, the Housing & Estate Department, Andaman and Nicobar Administration, Secretariat invites Online Applications for allotment of Government Accommodation under General Pool from Government employees of various Departments under Andaman & Nicobar Administration for the Session 2026-2027 from 01/06/2026 to 30/06/2026 (upto 5 PM).
The Government Servants whose name enlisted in the existing seniority list under General category for the Session 2025-2026 and not allotted Government Accommodation till date are requested to apply afresh for the Session 2026-2027. Applicants are also requested to apply for ‘Out of Turn’ on medical ground for the session 2026-2027. Applicants who applied for ‘Out of turn’ on medical ground for the session 2025-2026 are not required to apply again.
As per Rule-5 of Allotment of Accommodation of Andaman and Nicobar Administrative Residences (General Pool) Rules, 1991, allotment to such regular Government Servants of the Administration will be made on the basis of seniority as determined from the date of their entry into Government service under the A & N Administration. The seniority list so finalized shall be valid for a period up to 31st May, 2027. Ad-hoc/Contract employees are not eligible for allotment of Government Residential Accommodation under General Pool and as such their applications will not be entertained.
Applications from the Government servants who are on fresh appointment or on transfer from out Station or on Deputation (after last date of receipt of online application i.e., 30/06/2026) and ‘Out of Turn’ allotment on medical grounds shall be received throughout the year through online and their placement in the seniority list shall be made accordingly. The allottee/ occupants who desired to apply for change of their present quarter to Same Type on repair/medical/mutual/transferal grounds and Higher Type shall also register their applications on online portal only. No hard copy of application is required to be submitted or forwarded to Assistant Secretary (H&E), Secretariat and such applications will not be entertained.
