Port Blair, March 25:  The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has decided to allow residents to update documents in their Aadhaar online free of cost, a people-centric move that will benefit millions of residents. As part of Digital India Initiative, the UIDAI took the decision and is urging residents to get benefit of free document update facility on myAadhaar portal. The free service is available for the next three months i.e. 15th March 2023 to 14th June 2023.

Port Blair, Mar. 25: Andaman & Nicobar Islands have a long coastline with fragile biosphere which is highly vulnerable to climate change events like rising sea levels and seawater ingress, natural disasters like earthquakes, cyclones and extreme climatic events. In order to minimize the impact of events occurring on account of climate change phenomena and to create awareness regarding climate change and consequent restorative techniques viz. mitigation and adaptation, especially among youngsters and students, a Walkathon was organized by NABARD on Saturday 25th March.

Campbell Bay, March 25: As part of the celebration of Yuva Utsav-2023, a gala event was organized yesterday at Community Hall, Campbell Bay. Various competitions like painting, poetry, photography, speech & cultural events were organized with the motive to attract participation of every folks of youth.  The Yuva Utsav-2023 was inaugurated by Dr. Jatinder Sohal, Assistant Commissioner/SDM, Campbell Bay.

Port Blair, March 25: The Andaman and Nicobar Islands Khadi and Village Industries Board and the Directorate of Industries, A& N Administration organized ‘Khadi Paridhan Utsav’ as part of celebration of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ at Andaman Club on Saturday 25th March. The Chairperson, PBMC, Smt. S Selvi as the chief guest garlanded the portrait of Mahatma Gandhi which marked the commencement of the event.

Port Blair, March 25: The District Magistrate, South Andaman has notified for the information of all concerned that for bituminous work, the rural road from Calicut School to Lal Mitti at Calicut (NH) (Length-2.50 Km) will be closed for vehicular movement from March 26 to 31, 2023.
