Port Blair, Oct. 28: As part of ‘Police Flag Day’ commemorative events planned from 21-31 October, a solemn condolence event was organized to pay homage to the Martyrs and Corona warriors on 28th October, 2020 at Police Lines, for their tireless service, unflinching courage and utmost dedication. Shri Madhup Kumar Tewari, IPS, Additional Director General of Police (L&O), was the Chief Guest of the occasion. 

Port Blair, Oct. 28: In a small event organised by the NGO, Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi, the Police personnel deputed under South Andaman District were felicitated for their exemplary service to the citizens especially during the Lockdown period following the COVID-19 Pandemic.

Port Blair, Oct. 28: As part of its bid to stop illegal activities in South Andaman District, a surprise field visit was carried out by the Deputy Commissioner (SA), Shri Suneel Anchipaka, IAS alongwith SDM (SA). During the inspection, it was found that seven persons were illegally mining stones at Bimblitan village using excavator. DC (SA) directed to take strict action against the violator and the excavator was seized on the spot.
