Port Blair, Feb 19: An interactive session on ‘Healthy Living’ was organized in the conference hall of DBRAIT on Feb. 15, 2023 in which Professor and Head, Department of Radiography and Former Vice-Chancellor Kings George Medical University (KGMU), Lucknow, Prof. (Dr.) MLB Bhatt addressed the students. He said, a healthy lifestyle, in particular, a healthy diet coupled with one of the biggest gifts by India to the world- ‘Yog’ is a holistic therapy for a healthy, long and active life.

Port Blair, Feb 19: The Department of Civil Supplies & Consumer Affairs have asked the persons under APL Category of ration card who have not yet seeded Aadhaar Number in their respective family ration card in spite of several reminder and request through fair price shop dealers, electronic and print media, to approach the respective Civil Supplies offices before 06th March 2023, in person and get their Aadhaar seeded in their family ration card failing which the ration card to which these un-seeded members are attached shall be de-activated/members deleted considering to be a bogus member/ration card.

Port Blair, Feb 19: The Bharat Scouts & Guides Wing of Wimberlygunj Educational Zone commenced its Zonal Level five days Residential Camp for Scouts & Guides yesterday at GMS Kanyapuram. The camp which was inaugurated by Shri Gyan Sheel Dubey, District Chief Commissioner, BS&G/DEO, Wimberlygunj as the chief guest will continue upto Feb. 21.

Port Blair, Feb 19: The Revenue Department in Hut Bay, in association with other Government Departments, PRI Members organized a cleanliness drive at Machidera beach area at Hut Bay today. Shri Rahul Dev Boora, IAS Probationer, DFO Shri PK Paul, Tehsildar Shri Gopal, Pardhans Pappi Naidu, Babul Das, Parimal Mondal, Pramukh, Anita Mondal, Up Pramukh, Shri Parmanathan and ZP member, Shri Ashmanja Halder, Village Headman, Harminder Bay, Shri Andrew Moses and Nicobarese people besides different Government Departments in Little Andaman participated in the drive. A similar drive was also conducted at Harminder Bay Beach last Saturday, in which, around 200 people of the area participated.

Port Blair, Feb 19: It has been observed that unauthorized stalls/carts/kiosks/abandoned vehicles are parked on various places in the Municipal area viz. road side and parking lot of PBMC, which is not permitted. Hence, the PBMC has directed all the unauthorized stalls/cart/kiosks and the owners of abandoned vehicles to remove such stalls/carts/kiosks/abandoned vehicles within 7 days, failing which, strict action will be taken against the unauthorized vendors. The PBMC will evict the entire stalls/carts/kiosks and confiscate abandoned vehicle with the support of Traffic Police.
