Port Blair, July 22: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,89,298 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23,876 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years.  26,124 beneficiaries in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been administered both doses of vaccine. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 45,088.

Port Blair, July 22: Seven positive cases have been detected today in A&N Islands, of which, 4 was from incoming flight passengers who arrived here yesterday. Today, 8 flights with 1053 passengers arrived, out of which, 933 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 90 passengers and the reports are awaited.  

Port Blair, July 21: On receiving information that availability of Mortuary Van is a major issue in Diglipur region, the Member of Parliament of Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has recommended a Mortuary Van for the Panchayat Samiti Diglipur from MPLADS fund for the Diglipur region.

It is brought to the notice of the general consumers and government departments that power supply will remain suspended at the following area on 23.07.2022 (Saturday) from 0900 Hrs. to 1100 Hrs. in connection with urgent breakdown maintenance of T&D lines at Delanipur.

Port Blair, July 21: As a part of the nationwide agitation, the District Congress Committee, South Andaman under the direction of ANTCC President Shri. Rangalal Halder on 21st July 2022 staged a protest rally to condemn the decision of the Enforcement Directorate to summon Congress leader Sonia Gandhi for questioning in the National Herald case. The rally started from Gandhi Bhawan to Gandhi Statue and returned back to Gandhi Bhawan.
