Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi in his speech on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day, had called upon all Indians to take pride in their heritage and legacy. India has a rich and glorious history, which is replete with stories of unprecedented bravery, valour, sacrifice, penance, wars and victories of our heroes. One of such great son of Mother India was Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose whose contributions to the independence movement has inspired generations of Indians and inculcates a sense of pride amongst the countrymen.

Port Blair, Jan 17: The Hon’ble Member of Parliament Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma called on Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency today at Raj Niwas. Discussed investments in excess of Rs. 90,000/- Crores during last 5 years in mega Infrastructure/Tourism/Hospitality/Connectivity projects in Andaman & Nicobar Islands and recent decision by Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Government of India, to float Expression of Interest by end January 2023 for International Container Transshipment Terminal (ICTT) to bring in investment of Rs. 17,000/- Crores.

Port Blair, Jan. 17: The media fraternity here has expressed their sincere gratitude to the Chief Secretary, Mr. Kashav Chandra for re-allotment of the media room to the media persons. At a simple function on Tuesday, the Chief Editor, The Andaman Express (Hindi) and Municipal Councillor, Ward No-8, Smt Laxmi Ganeshan inaugurated the media room at Directorate of Information Publicity & Tourism.

Port Blair, Jan 17: As a part of the National Programme of the AICC, BHARAT JODO YATRA was conducted in North & Middle Andaman District covering a distance of 201 kms. The Yatra started from Diglipur (Hathi Level) on the 6th of January 2023 and concluded in Baratang Island on the 12th of January 2023. Each Day, the yatra ended with a Public Meeting and interaction with the general public. The Yatra created a lot of awareness on the activities of Shri. Rahul Gandhi and also on the issues being faced by the nation at large.
