Port Blair, May 27: The Health Tech- Technology powered by Tata Communications, a Healthcare Solutions organized a free medical health camp on 25.5.2024 at the Old Age Home, Ferrargunj in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare, A&N Administration. The camp was held from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm with the aim of reaching medical services to the residents.

Port Blair/ Pune, May 27: It is again a proud moment for the Islands and Islanders that D Shrestha Vijay, a budding chess player and student of class VIII, VKZPV, Basantipur, North & Middle Andaman shined in the 11th Late Bharatbai Halkude Memorial below 1800 FIDE Rating Chess Tournament 2024 held from 24th to 26th May 2024 at Pune, Maharastra by finishing 8th in Under 15 Category. He scored 6 points out of 9 rounds with 5 wins and two draws including two wins and a draw against the higher-rated opponents and increased 59 elo rating points in his classical Rating. He was awarded a medal and a certificate for this achievement.

The farmers of South Andaman who have registered themselves in the e-samridhi portal can avail the benefits of conversion of coconut into copra free of cost. However, the farmer has to arrange the biomass/fuel for conversion of coconut into copra brought by them.
