Port Blair, Feb 15: CPI (M) has conducted public meeting at Paschimsagar in North Andaman on 13th February, 2023 evening. Addressing the public meeting, D. Ayyappan, Secretary, CPI (M) A & N State Organising Committee, who was on a tour of North Andaman, said that the problems of the people are increasing day by day and there is no hope of resolving it considering the character of the BJP-led central government and its Administration in Andaman & Nicobar Islands.  Unemployment, price rise, non-repair of rural roads, lack of drinking water, power disruption, non-completion of the work of ATR/NH 4, increasing corruption, lack of boat services to outstations, lack of internet and mobile services in large parts of the union territory, illegal migration etc. are the issues the people in these islands are facing. He said that both the BJP government and the Congress MP have failed to fulfill the hopes and aspirations of the islanders.

Port Blair, Feb 15: The Secretary (Registrar of Cooperative Society), A&N Administration, Shri Rajesh Goyal and Director of Fisheries, Shri Piyush Vijay Karan Singh visited Diglipur from Feb.11 to 13, 2023. The officials during their visit interacted with general public, members of Business Community and marine fishermen to discuss various issues related to cooperative societies, development of fisheries sectors etc.

Port Blair, Feb 15: The Department of Art & Culture, Andaman & Nicobar Administration will be conducting a six day’s workshop on ‘Sambalpuri Folk & Tribal Dance’ from Feb.20 to 25, 2023 in collaboration with Eastern Zonal Cultural Centre (EZCC), Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. These classes will be conducted from 3 pm to 7 pm in Andaman Club.

Port Blair, Feb. 15: The general public of Municipal area have been informed that any outstanding arrears/dues to the Municipality, such as property tax, market rent, water charges of domestic, commercial and Government establishments are to be paid by Feb.27, 2023, failing which, the water supply of respective premises will be disconnected and the allotment order of shops will be cancelled and sealed, if the market rent dues are more 3 months.

Port Blair, Feb 15: Shri M. Vinod, President Andaman Association of Tour Operators along with all its members have expressed deep condolence on the sudden demise of Shri. Abdul Salam, Resident of Phoenix Bay, who breathed his last yesterday night at Chennai.
