Port Blair, April 12: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 269 incoming flight passengers yesterday, no positive case has been detected. Today, 9 flights with 1381 passengers arrived, out of which, 1214 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 132 passengers and the reports are awaited.

Port Blair, April 12: Due to administrative reasons, the scheduled sailing programme of MV Bharat Seema for Little Andaman on 13.04.2022 has been postponed by a day. Now the vessel is planned to sail for Little Andaman on 14.04.2022 at 0900 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail back to Port Blair on the same day at 2000 Hrs from Little Andaman. Inconvenience caused to the passengers is regretted.

A&N Police Hold Farewell Parade in Honour of Shri Satyendra Garg

Port Blair, April 11: An impressive Ceremonial farewell parade was held in honour of Shri Satyendra Garg, IPS, the outgoing DGP, at Police Lines, Parade Ground on 11/04/2022. Shri Garg joined as DGP of A&N Islands on 21st December 2020 and is returning back to Delhi on his transfer after successful tenure of more than 15 months.

Port Blair, April 11: It comes as a matter of immense pride for Andaman & Nicobar Islands that Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma, Member of Parliament of Andaman & Nicobar Islands has been elected to serve as Member of the Central Advisory Committee for the National Cadet Corps, subject to the provisions of the National Cadet Corps Act, 1948 and rules made there under.

Port Blair, April 11: On relinquishing charge after 1 year & 3 months as DGP, A&N Islands, and proceeding for his next assignment, Shri Satyendra Garg, IPS paid a farewell call on Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and Vice Chairman, Islands Development Agency at  Raj Niwas.
