Port Blair, Oct. 17: Heavy rain (07-11 cm) is likely to occur at one or two places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands on Oct. 18, 19, 20 & 21. Due to squally weather, wind speed exceeding 45 kmph is likely to prevail over Andaman Sea along & off Andaman and Nicobar coasts. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea from Oct.18 till further order.

Port Blair, Oct. 17: No COVID positive case has been detected today in A&N Islands. Today, 14 flights with 2184 passengers arrived, out of which,1987 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on145 passengers and the reports are awaited.

Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Union Minister, Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare to direct National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd. (NAFED) to procure Copra from Andaman & Nicobar Islands under Price Support Scheme.
