Port Blair, May 5: The ANCA Chess Summer camp 2022 was inaugurated at Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Lambaline Port Blair.

More than 100 kids are taking part in this 45 days Chess Summer camp, organised by the Andaman Nicobar Chess Association in collaboration with Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Lambaline Port Blair.

Port Blair, May 5: For the very first time, India will be hosting the Biggest Chess Event in the World, the 44th FIDE Chess Olympiad 2022 which is scheduled to take place in Chennai, India from 28th July to 10th August 2022 and will host 1500 to 1800 players from more than 150 countries.         

Port Blair, May 5: Heavy to very heavy rain (7-20 cm) very likely to occur at one or two places over Nicobar Islands and Heavy rains (7-11cm) likely at one or two places over Andaman Islands on 6th and 7th May 2022. This might be followed by thundersquall (speed reaching 50-70 Kmph) in one or two places over Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

Port Blair, May 5: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary to order for repairs of the lone DG set in Champin village, which is presently witnessing total blackout.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, the Member of Parliament mentioned that since the last three to four days the entire area of Champin Village of Nancowrie Island is witnessing total blackout after the lone DG Set developed technical snags.

Port Blair, May 5: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary of Andaman & Nicobar Administration to send sufficient stock of petrol to Teressa.
