Port Blair, July 18: Shri Vishal Jolly National Executive Member BJP and Former State President BJP-ANI met Mananiya Jyothiraditya M. Scindia Hon’ble Union Minister for Civil Aviation, GoI at Port Blair and raised important issues pertaining to the Civil Aviation Sector in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands which needs to be addressed for the larger interest of the islanders

1) FLAT RATES FOR STRETCHER PATIENTS:  The absence of any super speciality hospitals in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands is a significant challenge for the Islanders. When patients need to be referred to mainland hospitals for specialized treatments, they are burdened with hefty stretcher charges. He requested that measures be taken to provide a fixed "flat rate" for stretcher patients, ensuring their convenience and reducing financial burdens.

Port Blair, July 18: CPI (M) has demanded upper age relaxation of 8 years to all the candidates for the recruitment of Graduate Trained Teacher and Primary School Teacher in the Education Department as was done in 2013 and 2016.  In a letter sent to the Lt Governor, Andaman & Nicobar Islands,  D. Ayyappan, Secretary, CPI (M) A & N State Organising Committee while  appreciating the decision of the A & N Administration to advertise the vacant posts of Graduate Trained Teacher and Primary School Teacher in the Education Department,  brought to the notice of the Lt Governor that the upper age limit for these posts has been fixed as 30 years, with a 2 year age relaxation available for all categories of posts as per the order of the Administration.

Port Blair, July 18: The Member of Parliament, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma has expressed his deep appreciation and gratitude towards the Lt. Governor of A&N Islands and the Andaman & Nicobar Administration for approving the enhancement of remuneration for Anganwadi workers and Anganwadi helpers.

As per details, the remuneration for Anganwadi workers has been increased from Rs. 9,000 to Rs. 12,000 per month, while for Anganwadi helpers, it has been raised from Rs. 6,000 to Rs. 8,000 per month, effective from July 1, 2023.
