Port Blair, March 26: The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee on Sunday organized "Sankalp Satyagraha" at Gandhi Statue, Aberdeen Bazaar in support of Rahul Gandhi following his disqualification from the Lok Sabha.
ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder, ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman, Mr. G Bhasker and Hon'ble Member of Parliament, A&N Islands, Mr. Kuldeep Rai Sharma led the protest and expressed their solidarity with Rahul Gandhi.

Port Blair, March 26: A Millet Mela was organized by the Food Safety Department at Marina Park, Port Blair today. The mela was inaugurated by Ms. Veditha Reddy, IAS, Commissioner Food Safety, A&N Islands in the presence of Shri Dilkhush Meena, IAS, Joint Commissioner (Food Safety)/ADM and Shri Vinayak Chamadia, IAS and officials of Food Safety Department. In her inaugural speech, the Commissioner Food Safety greeted the gathering assembled in huge number for celebrating International Year of Millets in this Union Territory. She appealed the gathering to adopt millets in their daily diets and get the required nutrition as well as other health benefits. She further visited various millet stalls displayed by various Government Departments, Self Help Groups, NABARD and other Food Business Operators and appreciated their efforts for promoting millet consumption.

The Chief Guest Shri. Arshdeep Singh Panwar, DANIPS, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Bambaooflat inaugurated the programme.

Port Blair, March 26: The ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. G Bhasker on Saturday met several contractual Afloat and Dockyard employees of DSS infront of Marine Dockyard Gate. The employees shared their grievances regarding regularization of jobs. The meeting was organized under the leadership of INTUC Working President Mr. K.P Usman and DSS Dockyard Employees Union President Mr. Ibrahim Kolakattil (Baba).
