Port Blair, June 3: The Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, Govt. of India had approved the logo design of the most renowned designer of these islands Mr. Jag Jeevan Ram for celebrating the World Bicycle Day 2022 on 3rd June 2022.
It is a matter of great pride for the islands that the World Bicycle Day 2022 logo has been displayed all over the country to mark the day including at New Delhi where Hon’ble Sports Minister, Shri Anurag Thakur graced the occasion.

Port Blair, June 3: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,81,700 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23,538 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 yrs. and 12,709 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 yrs. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 25314.

Port Blair, June 3: The ANTCC President, Shri. Rangalal Halder has raised an issue regarding the MGNREGA Workers and Senior Officials who were not paid salary & wages for the last 6 months. He has demanded the Administration to look into this serious matter.

Port Blair, June 3: During the RT-PCR test conducted on 212 passengers who arrived here yesterday, no positive case has been detected. Today, 13 flights with 1910 passengers arrived, out of which, 1616 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 233 passengers and the reports are awaited.
