Port Blair, Sept. 10: The A&N State Under 11 Chess Championship cum Selection trial for the 36th National under 11 Chess Championship 2023 was conducted by Andaman Nicobar Chess Association at ANCA Chess Centre, Dairy Farm, today (09.09.2023).

Port Blair, Sept. 10: Recently, there has been an increase in the number of complaints related to mobile apps and websites offering loans online. These apps and websites provide micro loans of a few thousand rupees. However, even after the loan amount has been paid back, the victim is told that the payment was rejected and is continuously harassed into paying again. If the amount is not paid by the victim, he/she is threatened with distribution of edited images of the victim with vulgar caption to the victim's contacts. In some cases, the victim's relatives are also harassed as the scammers have access to the victim's contacts.

Port Blair, Sept. 10: To reaffirm our fight against drugs, and as a capacity building measure, the Andaman & Nicobar Police in coordination with Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), organized a three hours training-cum-workshop programme on “FINANCIAL INVESTIGATION AND REASONS FOR ACQUITTAL IN NDPS CASES” for the Supervisory and Investigating officers of A&N Police in the Conference Hall of the Police Training School, Prothrapur, on 09/09/2023. The training was imparted by a team of officers from NCB, led by Shri Rakesh Chandra Shukla, Zonal Director, Kolkata Zone, NCB. The list of participants included the officers and staff of A&N Police across the ranks from DySPs to HCs.
