Port Blair, June 6: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma participated in a conference on 5th June 2023 at New Delhi, organized by Microsoft and led by Mr. Antony Cook, Microsoft's Corporation Corporate Vice President.

The conference focused on the potential of Generative Artificial intelligence and how the industry can support policymakers in promoting technology-led socio-economic development, with a particular emphasis on marginalized sections and underdeveloped regions of the country.

Port Blair, June 6: Almost a month has passed since the Central Board of Secondary Education has release the results of Class X and Class XII. The surprising thing is that in spite of so many days after the declaration of the results, the Directorate of Education, A&N Administration is not able to decide on the Island toppers.

It has always been a keen interest of the Islanders to know the list of Island Toppers, who have struggled their way to attain the position. Such students not only top the list but also serve as a source of inspiration to their juniors, through their story of preparation for the exams and the challenges they were able to overcome.

Port Blair, June 6: CPI (M) Andaman & Nicobar State Organising Committee has demanded that fixed and regular sailing of vessels to Car Nicobar may be arranged for the benefit of tribal people and government servants working there.  In a letter sent to the Chief Secretary, Andaman and Nicobar Islands, D. Ayyappan, State Secretary, CPI (M) A & N Islands drew the attention of the Administration to the difficulties being experienced by the people of Car Nicobar due to non-availability of regular sailings of ships to Car Nicobar. He said that it has been brought to the notice of CPI (M) that only one old ship MV Bharat Seema is deployed in the Port Blair-Car Nicobar sector.  This ship is also often scheduled for Little Andaman and Nancowry even when there is huge rush of passengers for Car Nicobar.  

Port Blair, June 6: The Aberdeen Police Station cracked a significant burglary case within a remarkable timeframe of just three hours. On May 24, 2023, at 11:55 AM, a burglary was reported at Marine Hill, leading to the theft of valuable items, including gold ornaments weighing over 50 guineas, silver ornaments weighing approximately 270 grams, and cash amounting to Rs. 70,000.

Port Blair, June 6: In a significant breakthrough, the Aberdeen Police has successfully apprehended two individuals involved in theft and recovered the stolen vehicles.

On May 31, 2023, a written complaint was received regarding the theft of a motorcycle with registration number AN01E-1094 (Yamaha Gladiator). The motorcycle was parked near the complainant's house in Prem Nagar on May 29, 2023, at 9:00 PM and was subsequently stolen. An FIR was registered under Section 379 IPC  vide FIR No.  143/2023 on May 31, 2023. The investigation was entrusted to SI P.K Jabbar of the Aberdeen Police Station.
