Port Blair, May 16: The commuters/general public are hereby informed that due to prevailing weather conditions, keeping in view the safety of the passengers and the vessel, the announced sailing programme may get disrupted leading to suspension or cancelation in the Foreshore/Inter Island Sector at short notice.

Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands to display profile and photos of all Padma Bhushan and Padma Shree awardees of Andaman & Nicobar Islands in a respectable gallery so that all Islanders especially young generation can take inspiration from their life and reach to great heights in their lives.

ALL THE SAILINGS ARE SUBJECT TO WEATHER CONDITIONS

INTER ISLAND SECTOR:  

MV Kalighat will sail for Campbell Bay on 18.05.2022 (Wed) at 1000 Hrs from Haddo Wharf and will sail for Port Blair on 20.05.2022 (Fri) at 0900 Hrs from Campbell Bay via Nancowry.

Passenger Tickets for onward journey will be issued on 18.05.2022 at Haddo Wharf two hours prior to the departure time of the vessel based on the list provided by Deputy Commissioner’s Office, Port Blair and also after due verification of COVID Test Certificate and Islander Card/Local Certificate/Tribal Pass etc.

Port Blair, May 16: A Multi-Speciality free medical camp was held at Panchayat Hall, Beodnabad on 14/5/2022 by the Andaman & Nicobar Private Practicing Doctors’ Association. Dr Anand Unde, Gynecologist, Dr Vidyanand, Laparoscopic Surgeon, Dr Dinesh Dental Surgeon, Dr Anuradha Dhanorkar Ophthalmologist, Dr Chhanda Mondal, General Physician conducted the camp.

Kamorta, May 12: Katchal Island had been experiencing sever crisis of LPG Cylinders since February 2022. This was due to non-availability of private cargo vessel from Port Blair to Katchal Island. The issue was resolved by the Deputy Commissioner, Nicobar District, Shri Yash Chaudhary (IAS) and the Assistant Commissioner, Nancowry, Shri. Abhishek Bhukal (DANICS), who had made an effort to divert the cargo ship MV Sakthi-II to Katchal Island. MV Shakti was on its route towards Car Nicobar from Kamorta. With the intervention of the District Administration of Nicobar, 200 Nos of LPG cylinders were offloaded at Katchal Island on 11.05.2022 which provided immense relief to the people of Katchal.
