A new trend in financial cyber fraud has been observed where fraudsters send Fake Job Offer SMSs to perpetrate Cyber Crime. Fraudsters place online advertisements claiming that they can give jobs where one can make large amount of money working from home with little time and effort. A job scam occurs when a fraudster poses as an employer or recruiter, and offers attractive employment opportunities, which require job seekers to pay some money in advance. The SMSs sent by fraudsters offer high-paying part-time jobs to siphon off victims’ money and their personal information.

Port Blair, Nov. 4: A male patient namely Shri S. Chakraborthy, aged about 63 yrs, R/o Garacharma, Port Blair, South Andaman expired on 25-10-2023 at GB Pant Hospital. The dead body of the deceased is kept in the Cold Mortuary of the G. B. Pant Hospital. No relatives or persons known to him has come forward to claim the dead body till date.

Port Blair, Nov. 2: On 02nd November 2023, the A&N Police organized a Cyber Awareness Session on the Investigation of Financial Fraud & Cyber Crime in a hybrid mode as part of the 'Cyber Guruvar' initiative, held every Thursday by the Cyber Cell of A&N Police. In this training officers from the rank of constable to DySP of A&N Police participated.

New Delhi, Nov. 2: The ace Cyclists of A & N Islands have brought laurels for the Islands with their stupendous performance in the ongoing 37th National Games-2023 hosted by Goa. The National Games began on Oct. 26 and will continue till Nov. 9, 2023. In the 500 mtrs Time Trial event for Men, David Beckham has clinched Gold and in the same event for Women, Celestina has bagged Silver Medal. The event was held today at Indira Gandhi Stadium Complex, New Delhi. With this performance, the cyclists of these Islands have registered their proficiency in the event.

Port Blair, Nov. 2: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) recently witnessed a significant update in the Andaman & Nicobar Islands with a mass joining of people from the Shoal Bay Panchayat. This development saw a large number of individuals, including office bearers and members of the Congress party, join the BJP.
