Port Blair, Dec. 5: Composite Regional Centre (CRC), Brookshabad observed ‘International Day for Persons with Disabilities’ on Dec. 2 with the theme ‘Transformative Solutions for Inclusive Development: the role of innovation fuelling an accessible and equitable world’. The programme was chaired by the Member of Parliament, A&N Islands, Shri Kuldeep Rai Sharma. The Adhyaksha, Zilla Parishad, South Andaman, Smti Pramila Kumari was the special guest.

Port Blair, Dec. 5: As per Indian Meteorological Department’s weather forecast, heavy rain (07-11 cm) is likely to occur at one or two places over Nicobar Islands on Dec. 6. In anticipation of formation of low pressure area, fishermen of Andaman and Nicobar coasts have been advised not to venture into the sea till Dec. 7, 2022.

Port Blair, Dec. 4: Andaman Nicobar Chess Association (ANCA) conducted A&N State Under 09 Chess Selection Championship today at ANCA Chess Centre Dairy Farm to select two best chess players each in boys and girls for the 35th National Under-09 Chess Championship 2022 scheduled from 25th December 2022 to 02nd January 2023 at Indore, Madhya Pradesh.
