Port Blair, June 21: The Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) celebrated the ‘10th International Day of Yoga - 2024’ at INS Utkrosh on 21 Jun 24 espousing the theme “Yoga for Self and Society” and sub theme “Yoga for Women Empowerment”. Over 1000 personnel including families from all components of Andaman & Nicobar Command participated in the event with great fervor to embrace the essence of the Yoga for self and social development. Air Marshal Saju Balakrishnan, AVSM, VM, Commander-in-Chief, Andaman & Nicobar Command (CINCAN) graced the occasion.

Mayabunder, June 21: On 21.06.2024, in celebration of International Yoga Day, the North & Middle Andaman District Police organized yoga training sessions across all police stations and the district office. These sessions aimed to promote the physical and mental well-being of the police force as well as the broader community, including the public, private workers, and drivers.

Port Blair, June 21: The International Day of Yoga was celebrated at Veer Savarkar International Airport with theme “Yoga for Self and Society” by all the stakeholders at Airport Viz. Employees of Airports Authority of India, CISF, Airlines and various agencies working at Airport as well as general public.

A seven-day Yoga camp also concluded which was organised in the premises of Veer Savarkar International Airport with effect from 15.06.2024 as part of the as part of the celebration of International Yoga Day.

Port Blair, June 21: In a grand celebration of the 10th International Yoga Day, Police Training School, Prothrapur hosted a series of events under the theme ‘Yoga for Self and Society.’ The event was marked by the participation of 305 trainees and 25 officers, led by Shri Manjeet Sheoran, IPS, Principal, and Shri M.K. Shukla, DANIPS, Vice Principal. This year’s theme emphasized the dual focus on individual well-being and the collective health of the community.

Port Blair, June 21: ICAR-CIARI, Port Blair, along with its Regional Station in Minicoy, celebrated the 10th International Yoga Day on June 21, 2024. Dr. E. B. Chakurkar, Director of ICAR-CIARI, highlighted the importance of yoga in daily life for maintaining health, prosperity, and happiness. He further encouraged all participants and employees to practice yoga daily and consistently for a healthy life, emphasizing that yoga can enhance productivity by increasing efficiency without causing stress and anxiety.  Shri P. T. Mathew and Shri Bikas Chandra Mondal, Yoga Demonstrators from Patanjali Yoga Centre in Prothrapur, Port Blair demonstrated yoga to all participants. Shri K. Shyam Sundar Rao, Nodal Officer (I/c), coordinated the entire program. Shri Alex Praveen Barla, Yoga Facilitator, proposed a vote of thanks.
