Port Blair, March 6: In the midst of a nationwide March and protests by the Congress against the financial irregularities of the Adani Group, the Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC) held a protest outside the offices of State Bank of India (SBI) Port Blair against the Modi Government.

The protestors carrying placards and banners raised slogans against crony capitalism, bending of rules and regulations only to benefit selected corporate friends of the Modi Government and forceful investment in the Adani Group by government bodies. They also demanded a JPC probe into the allegations of fraud against the Adani Group levelled in a report by US-based short-seller Hindenburg research.

Port Blair, March 6: On 03/03/2023 at about 1000hrs a couple were found dead in Hotel Hornbill Nest, Andaman & Nicobar Islands. From Their identity cards they were identified as 1) Priyanka Singh, C/o Yug Singh Rathore, R/o Bangalore and 2) Yug Singh Rathore, C/o Bhola Singh, R/o Bangalore. The dead bodies have been shifted to Mortuary for preservation and identification of their kith and kin. In this regard, a case vide. Crime No. 57/23 dated 03/03/2023 U/s 306/34 IPC has been registered at Police Station Aberdeen and the case is under Investigation.

Mr. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Member BJP & Former State President BJP-ANI has deeply mourned the sad demise of Mr. Allen Vaughan, aged 69 years R/o Lataw, Mayabunder who left for heavenly abode on 06.03.2023. Shri Jolly prayed to the Almighty for the eternal peace of the departed soul and to give strength to his bereaved family to bear this irreparable loss.

Port Blair, March 6: The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee on Sunday organized 'Haath Se Haath Jodo' Abhiyan in Ward No. 22, Brookshabad. The Abhiyan was given a grand welcome by the party cadres and local residents of the area.
