Port Blair, April 5: In compliance to Hon’ble CAT, Kolkata Bench, Kolkata’s Order dated 29/03/2022 in O.A No. 351/1012/2020(Arfan Ali & 20 Ors.), O.A No. 351/1088/2020 (Manohar Prasad) and O.A No. 351/1319/2020 (Smti. Darsana Devi S.G), in pursuance to Administration’s Vacancy Notice No. 4-13/2017-R&E Cell dated 12/04/2017 and select and panel of wait list published vide Press Release dated 02/03/2019, the Competent Authority, A&N Administration has accorded approval for considering the appointment of 96 candidates from the waiting list of Matric Level posts (including MTS) as per their merit, preference of choice, availability of post, category of vacancy etc. against the vacancies arose in various Departments.

Port Blair, April 5: Under the Central Sector Scheme – ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi’ (PM-KISAN), 13 instalments have been released by the GoI. The 13th Instalment was released by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi on 27th February 2023 directly to the bank accounts of the PM KISAN beneficiaries.

The 14th installment is expected to be released tentatively in the month of May 2023 for the period April to July. For the smooth transfer of benefits of 14th installment, the Govt. of India has made the following mandatory requirements to be completed by 30th April 2023.

Port Blair, April 5: Shri. Vishal Jolly, National Executive Committee Member, BJP, today met the Secretary- Social Welfare, A & N Administration and raised the issue of serious delay in receipt of Old Age Pension, Widow Pension, Destitute Allowances and Handicap Allowances. He pointed out that for most of these beneficiaries, this amount is the only source of livelihood and therefore even a week’s delay in disbursement of these allowances creates a huge burden upon them. He urged to ensure that these benefits reach the beneficiaries well within the 1st or 2nd day of each & every month.

Port Blair, April 4: The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested immediate intervention of Minister of Road Transport and Highways, GoI in the matter of delay in construction work of Middle Strait Bridge.

In a letter addressed to the Minister of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), the Member of Parliament mentioned that the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL) undertook the construction of a 1.9 km bridge at Middle Strait Creek nearly three years ago, with a completion target of September 2022. However, as of now, the construction work remains incomplete, with about 30% of the work finished.
