Port Blair, July 3: A new working body of the Muaythai Association of A&N Islands has been formed under the leadership of Mr. M. Vinod who is also the President of Andaman Association of Tour Operators.

For four years, the Muaythai Association of A&N has been burned with an unwavering fire, relentlessly forging champions from raw talent. Led by the indomitable Head Coach and General Secretary, Shri. N Jagadeka Varma, Team Andaman & Nicobar has stormed onto the national stage, conquering 6 tournaments and claiming a staggering 47 medals in the past three years.

Port Blair, July 3: The Skill Development Program (SDP) Centre of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT) will be starting the new batches for six months course in Basic Automotive Servicing of Four Wheelers (Assistant Motor Vehicle Mechanic/ Service Mechanic) from July 15, 2024 (tentatively) from 9 am to 3 pm at the Skill Development Program Centre at DBRAIT. Interested candidates may apply for the course by collecting application form from the SDP Centre during working days.

Port Blair, July 3: A weeklong short term training programme was organized by the Directorate of Industries, A&N Administration to impart hands on training to the Officials of Agriculture Department at Extension Office, Department of Industries Port Blair, Diglipur, Bakultala, Hut Bay and Car Nicobar on manufacturing of Bee Hive Boxes. Altogether, 37 Officials of Agriculture Department and 22 trainees of Industries Department participated in the training program and were imparted basic skills and knowledge for making Bee Hive Boxes.

Rangat, July 3: The list of selected candidates for the post of Anganwadi Worker & Anganwadi Helpers on honorarium basis at various Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) under ICDS Project, Rangat has been displayed in the Notice Board of the Office of the Child Development Project Officer, Rangat. The selected candidates have been requested to submit their willingness and report to the Office of the CDPO, Rangat on July 5, 2024.

Port Blair, July 2: In a significant crackdown on illegal activities on 01/07/2024, acting on specific intelligence input, a police team comprising SI P. Moideen Kutty, Head Constables S. Baroi and K. Venkateshwar Rao, and Constables Thangaraj, K. Rajendran, Srinivas Rao, and Amit Singh of PS Crime & Economic Offence conducted a raid on the house of Pramod Ram, son of the late Guruswamy, aged 47 years, a private worker residing in Naushad Colony, Bhatu Basti. They recovered 67 bottles of IMFL from his possession. The accused was arrested on the spot following the due legal procedure, and a case has been registered under relevant sections of the law.
