Chief Secretary Flags off New Tourist Police Vehicles for A&N Police

Port Blair, Oct. 4: Ushering in a new era of safety and security for the tourists visiting the Islands, the Chief Secretary A&N Islands, Sh. Chetan B. Sanghi, IAS, in the presence of Sh. Dependra Pathak, IPS, Director General of Police, A&N Islands and other senior officers of A&N Administration and A&N Police, flagged off 14 new vehicles for the Tourist Police Ecosystem of the Andaman and Nicobar Police.

Port Blair, Oct. 4: The Bharatiya Janata Party, Andaman & Nicobar Island, State Unit organized an awareness programmes on Atmanirbhar Bharat, Vocal for Local and are also promoting Khadi, as part of  week long programme from 25th September 2020 to 2nd October 2020, under the leadership of Shri. Ajoy Bairagi, State President.

Port Blair, Oct. 4: The State President, BJP, Shri. Ajoy Bairagi met the Secretary, Shipping, Andaman & Nicobar Administration and requested him to arrange a ship for the students who had visited Port Blair to write their exams.

Port Blair, Oct. 4: On the occasion of 151st Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, Admiral DK Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.) Hon'ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency paid homage to ‘Father of the Nation’ by offering floral tributes at the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at Gandhi Park. Chief Secretary, A&N Administration, Shri Chetan B. Sanghi, Shri Dependra Pathak, DGP and other senior officers of A&N Administration also offered floral tributes.

Port Blair, Oct. 4: To commemorate the 151st Birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, True Vision Foundation (TVF), an NGO, celebrated Gandhi Jayanti at Tushnabad Junction in association with Youth Club Ograbraj.
