The leaders have also mourned the demise of Shri Abhishek Tiwari, Son of Shri Durga Prasad Tiwari, Aged 41 years, Resident of New Pahargaon.

Port Blair, June 22: The Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister, Shri Narendra Singh Tomar, launched the PM-Kisan mobile app, which incorporates the face authentication feature, as part of the ambitious ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi’ scheme to provide income assistance to farmers. The app exemplifies the implementation of cutting-edge technology, where farmers can conveniently complete their e-KYC remotely, from the comfort of their homes, without the need for OTP or fingerprints. Moreover, it enables farmers to assist up to 100 other farmers in completing their e-KYC process at their respective homes. Acknowledging the significance of mandatory e-KYC completion, the Government of India has expanded the capability to State Government officials to carry out e-KYC for 500 farmers each.

Port Blair, June 22: Shri Girish Arora, General Secretary, Laghu Udyog Bharati, A&N Islands, Managing Committee Member, Hotel & Restaurant Association of Eastern India (HRAEI), President, Hoteliers Association of A & N Islands (HAANI) and Past President, Andaman Chamber of Commerce & Industry has been nominated as member of the recently constituted National Traders’ Welfare Board by Department of Promotion of Industries and Internal Trade (internal trade and e-commerce section) under the Ministry of Commerce and Industry. An order in this regard was issued on 19th June 2023 by the Union Ministry of Commerce and Industry. This nomination has been made in pursuance of the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade's Notification No. P-55015/2/2019-Internal Trade dated 26th July and 17th December 2019.

Port Blair, June 22: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Chief Secretary of Andaman & Nicobar Administration to arrange a sailing from Vizag to Port Blair.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Secretary, the Member of Parliament mentioned that a considerable number of islanders, having completed their summer vacations, are eagerly waiting to return to Port Blair from Vizag in order to resume their regular activities, including attending offices and schools. However, due to the unavailability of ships, these islanders are facing severe difficulties in making their way back home.

Car Nicobar, June 22: Congress leaders of Car Nicobar led by ANTCC President, Mr. Rangalal Halder, ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. TSG Bhasker and Chairman, Adivasi Congress Mr. Sebastian Tirkey held a meeting with the Education Officer of Car Nicobar Island, Shri H.
