Port Blair, Sept. 12: Shri. Sanjay Kumar Jain, IPS, IGP (L&O) has inaugurated a 05 day’s capsule course on Self Defence/Laughter Yoga/Meditation for Police/IRBn personnel on 09.09.2022 at Police Lines. Smti. Monika Bhardwaj, IPS, SSP/Commandant, IRBn and Assistant Commandants of IRBn were also present on the occasion. 

Port Blair, Sept. 12: The district police of North & Middle Andaman have been conducting intensive jungle search and combing operations to crackdown on manufacturing of illicit Liquor, Lahan &  Handia. Adding to the spree of crackdown on illicit liquor manufacturing in the district, four successful jungle raids have resulted in recovering of 930 ltrs. of lahan and 31 ltrs. of illicit liquor along with other materials/utensils etc. used for distillation of illicit liquor. The recovery have been done mainly from forest areas of Bakultala in PS Rangat, Prafulla Nagar in PS Billiground & Paschimsagar in PS Kalighat.

Port Blair, Sept. 12: Working towards a brighter future for the children of our society, Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi provided Furniture, Note Books and Text Books to an ongoing free coaching classes organised in Bathubasti by the area Councilor Shri V.Vetrivelu of Ward No 19. The Councilor had approached Mandeep Grewal, President, PBGKR and briefed him about the classes and that furniture is needed for the children to sit and study in the classes.

Port Blair, Sept. 12: Shri Vishal Jolly National Executive Member BJP & Former State President BJP-ANI in a letter to Chief Secretary, A & N Administration demanded fixing of maximum selling price of ice blocks by the Private Ice Plant owners in these A&N Islands and establishment of an Ice Plant of capacity 100 metric tons in Port Blair city to meet the future demand.

Port Blair, Sept. 12: Shri G. Sudhakar, IAS, Secretary (Fisheries), A&N Administration along with Director of Fisheries and officials of Department of Fisheries visited Dundus Point, Mannarghat and Shoal Bay to take stock of assets created by the beneficiaries under Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) in South Andaman District. In Dundus Point, the Secretary (Fisheries) inspected the Ice Plant of 18MT constructed by Shri. Dharmalingam, M/s DSN Ice Plant with financial support under PMMSY. He enquired about the local demand and mode of distribution of ice from the unit and advised the beneficiary to provide ice to the local fishermen at reasonable price. It was also directed to encourage more beneficiaries under the programme to meet the growing demand of ice due to increase in fishing activities in the Islands.
