Port Blair, July 18: The A&N Administration has invited online applications through Administration’s Portal: https://karmic.andaman.gov.in/chsr2023 for filling up of 488 various Group ‘B’ (NG) & Group ‘C’ Common Category Higher Secondary Level Posts in different Departments under A & N Administration, scheduled to be held on 23.07.2023 (Sunday) in a single shift from 10.00 AM to 12.00 PM [In case of VH & Cerebral Palsy candidates extra 40 minutes shall be provided] vide Vacancy Notice No. 4-12/2023-R&E Cell dated 26.05.2023. The Written Examination (1stPhase) centres have been set up right from Campbell Bay in South to Diglipur in the North. The Examination Centre and time of Examination have suitably been indicated in each online Admit Card itself.

Port Blair, July 18: With reference to the vacancy Notification of Primary School Teacher published vide dated 13.07.2023 (Thursday) by the Directorate of Education, A & N Administration, Port Blair, a partial modification has been made in the vacancy notice to an extent regarding marking scheme notified for the post of Primary School Teacher to ensure complete equity for various equivalent academic qualifications as per the Recruitment Rule of Primary School Teacher published vide Notification dated 28th  June 2023.  The modified marking scheme for Primary School Teacher has been uploaded on Education  websitehttps://edurec.andaman.gov.in.

Lt. Governor Reviews Arrangements for the Historic Inauguration

Port Blair, July 17: Admiral D K Joshi, PVSM, AVSM, YSM, NM, VSM (Retd.), Hon’ble Lt Governor, A&N Islands and Vice-Chairman, Islands Development Agency alongwith Shri Keshav Chandra, Chief Secretary and other senior Officers of Andaman & Nicobar Administration, Andaman & Nicobar Police, Officers of Airport Authority of India (AAI) and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) reviewed the arrangements for the historic inauguration of New Integrated Terminal Building of Veer Savarkar International Airport at Port Blair by Shri Narendra Modi, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India on 18th July, 2023.

Port Blair, July 18: Thunder storms, lightning & gusty wind (40-50) kmph is likely occur at one or two places over A&N Islands and heavy rain (7-11 cm) is also likely to occur at one or two places over Nicobar Islands on July 19 & 20.   Thunder storms, lightning & gusty wind (30-40) kmph likely to occur at one or two places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands. Heavy rain (7-11 cm) is likely to occur at one or two places over Nicobar Islands on July 21& 22.

Port Blair, July 17: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma held a crucial meeting with the Chief Secretary, A&N Administration on Friday, July 14, 2023 to discuss the urgent need for augmenting water supply in various parts of the Andaman & Nicobar Islands.

The meeting focused on addressing the water scarcity issues faced by residents, particularly during the months of March, April and May.
