Port Blair, Oct. 11: On the occasion of "International Day of the Girl Child", Hope foundation organised a program in Balika Niketan, in the presence of Smti Zarina Bibi (CDPO) Urban Project and Mukhiya Sevika's Urban project.

Mayabunder, Oct. 11: ‘International Day of the Girl Child’ was celebrated by District Child Protection Unit, Office of the Deputy Commissioner, N&MA District at Forest Labour (Welfare) Club, Mayabunder in which students from Government Model Senior Secondary School, Mayabunder, ICDS functionaries and team of DCPU, N&MA participated. Shri Ankit Yadav, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, N&M Andaman was the chief guest on the occasion while Shri Subhajit Basu, Hon’ble Additional District & Session Judge, N&MA, Mayabunder was the guest of honour. Shri Ashish Joon, Assistant Commissioner (HQ) Mayabunder, Dr. P.K.Palit, Medical Officer (i/c) R.P Hospital, Mayabunder and Smt. Anima Sammadar, Head Mistress, Govt. Primary School, Mayabunder were the special guests.

Port Blair, Oct. 11: As part of the Special Campaign 3.0 for institutionalizing Swachhata and minimizing pendency in Government Offices from Oct.2 to 31, 2023, 15 Sites/Offices have been identified for cleaning by the Administrative Reforms and Training Wing of the Administration.

Port Blair, Oct. 11: The State Child Protection Society, under the Directorate of Social Welfare, recently organized a Life Skill Education Awareness Program at Pranab Kanya Sangha. The program aimed to empower and educate children under the care and protection of Child Care Institutions (CCI) about essential life skills. About 29 children participated in the programme.

During the program, Smt. Rehabneth Begum, Program Manager (SCPS) highlighted the importance of Life Skill Education and explained that acquiring such skills can have a profound impact on an individual's overall development and success in life. She also emphasized on the significance of empowering girls through education, as the event coincided with International Girl Child Day.

For sustenance, growth and development of MSME, the Ministry of MSME and the A & N Administration implements various schemes and programmes. For availing benefit of these schemes/ programmes, the enterprise should have “Udyam Registration Certificate”.
