Port Blair, Aug 12: As a part of the “Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav”, the Government of India has designated the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment as the nodal Ministry to work in the field of eradication and also to create awareness among the youth from addiction and substance and also intensify the “Nasha Mukta Bharat Abhiyan” (NMBA) which is currently being implemented in 272 most vulnerable districts in the Country.

Port Blair, Aug 12: The District Administration, South Andaman in association with the Tourist Boat Owner’s Association, Aberdeen Bazaar and Department of Tourism, A & N Administration conducted a “TIRANGA BOAT RALLY” on 12/08/2022 from Water Sport Complex, Aberdeen Bazaar under “Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign”, the Government of India initiative to inculcate a personal connect between the citizens of India and the National Flag marking the 75th Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav.

Port Blair, Aug. 12: All citizens have been requested to hoist National Flag from 13th to 15th August, 2022 and requested to take selfies with Tiranga and upload the same on www.harghartiranga.com. Under the aegis of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ (AKAM), ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign has been launched to encourage the citizens to hoist the National Flag of India in their homes. The idea behind the campaign is to instill the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of people and reminisce the journey of India and those who have contributed towards creating this great nation.It is envisaged that all citizens shall be encouraged to hoist Tiranga at their homes during the Independence week from 13th – 15th August.
