Port Blair, March 16: The ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. TSG Bhasker on Thursday demanded to withdraw the order vide No. 642 issued by A&N Administration dated 13th March, 2023 for curtailment of Electricity in A & N Islands.

In a letter addressed to the Hon'ble Lt. Governor, A&N Islands, Mr. Bhasker said "In this era of modernization and technological advancement, we are going back to the olden days where we used to have a limited supply of electricity. This has happened due to poor policy making of the Electricity Department and A&N Administration".

Port Blair, March 16: The leaders of Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee (ANTCC) organized “Haath Se Haath Jodo” campaign in Namunaghar Panchayat on the 15th of March,2023 under the leadership of ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder and ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. TSG Bhasker.

Port Blair, March 16: The National Students Union of India State President, Mr. M.A Sajid on Thursday demanded deployment of Police in front of every School in A & N Islands.

In a letter addressed to the DSP (Traffic), A&N Islands, Sajid stated that students and their parents are facing unimaginable harassment around the school roads due to the growing instances of traffic accidents. The tragic accident of an 8-year-old child near Brichgunj school on 13th March 2023 has created panic among them.

Port Blair, March 16: The Port Blair City Area Committee of CPI (M) has conducted a massive procession at Port Blair today (16.03.2023) evening to protest against the curtailment of drinking water, frequent power cut and recent hike in LPG cylinders, etc.  The procession began from Delanipur and culminated in front of PBMC Office after making a round of Aberdeen Bazar. 

Port Blair, March 16: As part of nationwide agitation, the Members of the Block Congress Committee on the 15th of March 2023 (Wednesday) staged a protest in front of SBI Branch, Namunaghar against the BJP led central government over the alleged links between its leadership and the Adani group.

Carrying party flags and shouting anti-BJP slogans, the Congress leaders and workers demanded a Joint Parliamentary Committee (JPC) to probe into the Adani-Hindenburg issue. The protest was led by ANTCC President Mr. Rangalal Halder, ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Mr. G Bhasker and Block Congress Committee President Mr. Mohammed Ali.
