Port Blair, July 7: With an objective of visual cleanliness and to sensitize the essence of safe and clean environment; the Directorate of RD, PRIs and ULBs spearheaded a Special Clean-up Drive across the rural jurisdiction covering all 70 Gram Panchayats on 6th July, 2024. This one-day drive called on different stakeholders to come together, dedicate time and energy towards the nature's cause for a clean and better Island ecosystem. The motto of the clean-up drive was "Neither Litter, nor let others litter".

Port Blair, July 7: The Inner Wheel Club of Port Blair organized its 10th project on Saturday 29th June 2024 with a donation of academic books for Classes 8 to 12 along with donation of a cabinet to the Government Sr. Secondary School, Bathubasti. 

Port Blair, July 6: The three days long training programme on ‘Marine Ornamental Fish Breeding’ by Department of Fisheries, A&N Administration in association with ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute, Cochin culminated today. The valedictory session was inaugurated by Shri Vikram Singh, Director of Fisheries at Fisheries Training Centre, Marine Hill in the presence of Dr. Dilip Kumar Jha, Officer In-Charge, NIOT, Dollygunj and Scientists of ICAR-Central Marine Fisheries Research Institute, Cochin among other dignitaries.

Rangat, July 6: Taking a unique initiative, a ceremonial tree planting programme as part of Van Mahotsava celebration in Middle Andaman Forest Division was organized with eminent women citizens to promote women empowerment. The event included an inaugural function & mass tree planting programme in the campus of the Forest Labour Club, Bakultala today with the active participation of school students.  In the programme, 16 eminent women citizens from the local villages were specially invited as the guests. They participated in the inaugural function and planted seedlings to mark the occasion. 

Port Blair, July 6: The ‘Monsoon Tourism Festival’-2024 by the Directorate of IP&T, A&N Administration will be kicked off with a ‘Road Show’ on July 12, 2024 and will be held at the Corbyn’s Cove Beach from July 13 to 14, 2024. As part of the Monsoon Festival, the Directorate of Art & Culture, A&N Administration shall be presenting cultural programmes at the venue from 3 pm onwards.
