Port Blair, July 1: As part of road safety awareness drive, an awareness camp on first aid treatment was organised by A&N Traffic Police in collaboration with GB Pant Hospital on 28th June, 2022 in the conference hall of PS Aberdeen. Shri Sanjay Kumar Jain, IPS (Inspector General of Police, L & O), was the chief guest in this awareness camp. Shri Kalaivanan R. IPS, SP (South Andaman District/Traffic), Shri Abhishek Gupta, SDPO (SA)/Dy. SP (Traffic) and more than 100 people participated in this programme.

Port Blair, July 1: The website link at Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) site www.ignou.ac.in is open to pay the Re-Registration fee for July, 2022 session. In IGNOU, the Re-registration is the process of payment of fees for the subsequent year of study for a particular academic programme.

Port Blair, July 1: During the RTPCR conducted on 180 incoming flight passengers, who arrived here yesterday, three positive cases have been detected. Today, 11 flights with 1710 passengers arrived, out of which, 1506 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 164 passengers and the reports are awaited.    

Port Blair, July 1: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,83,721 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23,583 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years and 13,301 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 12 to 14 years. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 27,501.

Port Blair, June 30: The Member of Parliament, A&N Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma on 29 June 2022 inaugurated two crucial works, completed with MPLADS funds in G B Pant Hospital Complex.

With completion of these works, attendants of patients and people coming to G B Pant Hospital from far-away places will finally have a waiting room to take rest and toilet block for emergency use.
