Port Blair, July 13: The vaccination drive is continuing smoothly in A&N Islands. As per data available, a total of 6,84,239 doses of vaccine have been administered to beneficiaries in the age group of 18 and above so far. Similarly, 23,596 beneficiaries have been vaccinated in the age group of 15 to 18 years. 24,713 beneficiaries in the age group of 12 to 14 years have been administered both doses of vaccine. The number of beneficiaries administered precautionary dose of vaccine so far stood at 28,405.

Port Blair, July13: Nine positive cases have been detected today in A&N Islands, of which, 5 were from incoming flight passengers who arrived here yesterday. Today, 7 flights with 1021 passengers arrived, out of which, 860 passengers were vaccinated with both doses while RT-PCR test was conducted on 101 passengers and the reports are awaited.   

Port Blair, July 12:  The Member of Parliament, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma on 10th July 2022 inaugurated the Multipurpose Hall of Brindaban area of South Andaman, which was constructed under MPLADS funds at the cost of Rs. 54.42 Lakhs.

Port Blair, July 12: Andaman & Nicobar State Secretariat of the CPI (M) strongly condemns the violence unleashed by Sangh Parivar supporters at Diglipur, North Andaman today (12.07.2022). Reports reaching from Diglipur revealed that a group of Sangh Parivar supporters entered the shop of a shopkeeper at Diglipur and vandalized the shop, attacked the workers in the shop and also physically attacked the shopkeeper saying that he was involved in cow slaughter.

Port Blair, July 12: A rugby team from Andaman & Nicobar Islands participated in Senior National Rugby Sevens Championship 2022 for Men & Women which was held at Patliputra Sports Complex, Patna, Bihar from 9th June to 12th June 2022, organized by Indian Rugby Football Union. Two players from Port Blair, Mr. A. P. Wajid Ali and Mr. N. Mohammed Shamim were selected in men's team. They took part in this tournament and played 3 matches.
