Port Blair, July 25: As a part of celebrations on Ujjala Diwas under the theme of Azadi ka Amrit Mahastav, Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya – Power @ 2047 is being organized all over India in July, 2022 by the Ministry of Power in collaboration with Govt. of States/UTs to showcase the achievements made by centre and State Govt. and to envision the future opportunities in power sector. In this connection the 1st programme in A&N Islands was held at Chouldhari Community Hall in South Andaman District.

Port Blair, July 25: A free medical camp was conducted by Apollo Clinic at Panighat on 21^st July 2022. The objective of the camp was to create awareness on general health among the people, provide general health care services and counseling them on the basics of healthcare and hygiene.

Port Blair, July 25: The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has given a clarion call to strengthen the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' movement as the nation is marking ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ this year. He has urged people to hoist the Triclour or display it in their homes between 13^th and 15^th August 2022. The aim of the 'Har Ghar Tiranga' Campaign is not only to inspire people, but also an embodiment of our commitment to nation-building. The idea behind this initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of citizens and promote awareness about our National Flag.
