Port Blair, March 16: The classes for Pre-Primary in all management (Govt., Govt. Aided, Private Unaided and Local Body) schools across A&N Islands will reopen on alternate day basis with effect from 21st March, 2022 subject to certain conditions. The Director of Education has directed all educational institutions to follow all COVID protocol and ensure COVID appropriate behaviour. Students will be permitted to attend school only with the written consent of parents/guardian. Physical attendance will not be compulsory.

Port Blair, March 16: With a motto to spread smiles across the children residing at the Child Care Institutions across the district, Port Blair Guru Ki Rasoi celebrated the festival of colors Holi with the children residing at Balika Niketan at Atam Pahad. PBGKR distributed Health Kits, Herbal Colors and sweets to the children.

Port Blair, March 16: A study tour to the Skill Development Centre at Mayabundar was conducted for the students of class X of the Govt. Model Senior Secondary school Sitanagar, Diglipur under Samagra Shiksha Abhiyan. Around 50 students boarded the bus to Mayabunder at 9 am from the school and reached the Skill Development Centre at Lucknow. The students got to know about the various skill developments programmes being conducted by the centre. The girl students were very excited to learn the Fashion Designing classes, as it was first ever opportunity to get familiar with ‘the hands on training’, related to the skilled work of Fashion Designing. The students showed interest specially in learning the basics of the Zardozi Embroidery work. They attended the theory class also.
