On this joyous occasion of our 77th Independence Day, I extend my heartfelt greetings and best wishes to each and every Islanders.

The Andaman and Nicobar Islands have been an integral part of India's struggle for independence, bearing witness to the sacrifices made by countless individuals who fought valiantly for our nation's liberty. Today, we honour their legacy by continuing to uphold the principles of democracy, unity, and progress.

He said that this day commemorates India's Independence from colonial rule after two centuries of oppression and suppression at the hands of the British. Port Blair, Aug 14: The Pradesh Youth Congress under the leadership of State President Ms. Diksha Dular & State Vice-President Shri. Abhibhushan Ghosh on the 13th of August 2023 held an interactive meeting with the Youth of Tushnabad.

The meeting was chaired by ANTCC President Shri. Rangalal Halder, ANTCC Campaign Committee Chairman Shri. TSG Bhasker and Zilla Parishad Member Tushnabad Smt. M. Rajani.

Car Nicobar, Aug 14: With a vision of ‘Digital India’, the first e-Corner at Car Nicobar was inaugurated by Shri Hari Kallikkat, IAS, Deputy Commissioner, Nicobar District in the premises of DC Office Car Nicobar today. Shri Singh Piyush Vijaykaran, Assistant Commissioner (HQ), Administrative Officers and members of Tribal community and officer from many other line departments were also present on the occasion.

Port Blair, Aug 14: The General Body meeting of the Andaman & Nicobar Anganwadi Workers & Helpers Union was held at Kerala Samajam Hall, Port Blair on 13th August, 2023. AR Sindhu, CITU National Secretary and General Secretary of All India Federation of Anganwadi Workers & Helpers inaugurated the Meeting. Addressing the members of the Union, she said that the Modi government is trying to shut down the Anganwadi Centres in the country and said that ever since the present government came to power, the budget allocation for ICDS has been reduced gradually.  She said that braving the Covid Pandemic, the Anganwadi Workers and Helpers all over the country helped Covid patients and the community.
