Port Blair, Nov. 4: The State President BJP, Shri. Ajoy Bairagi has requested the Lt. Governor of A&N Islands and the Deputy Commissioner, South Andaman for rehabilitation of employees (fire victims) of CCS and also for awarding adequate compensation to them.

Port Blair, Nov. 3: At about 10.08 am, a fire accident was reported at the Fire Control Room that a major fire broke out in the shop of CCS Ltd. at Bhatubasti. Acting upon the information, water tender from Fire Station Garacharma was immediately rushed to the accident site to control the fire.

Port Blair, Nov. 3: Andaman & Nicobar Police stands firmly with its “zero tolerance policy on drugs” and has been waging battles against this menace aiming to eradicate the illegal trade of drug peddling from this Union Territory. Acting tough on the Narcotic drug peddlers, A& N Police with its continuous efforts succeeded to arrest 62 drug peddlers and registered 41 cases throughout the Islands with seizure of 294.086 kg methamphetamine,58.827 Kg illicit Ganja, 675 tablets, 13 nos. cinnabars, 92 nos. codeine cough syrup bottles which are worth in crores.
