Port Blair, June 14: The Andaman & Nicobar Police Department proudly announces the promotion of Shri Solomon Samuel to the esteemed position of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP). This significant achievement marks a historic moment as Shri Solomon Samuel becomes the first DySP of A&N Police from the Nicobari tribal community to assume this role.

The promotion was issued by MHA, UT Division, GOI on 12/06/2024 and at Police Headquarters (PHQ) Director General of Police (DGP), Sh Devesh Chandra Srivastva, IPS, along with other senior officers of A&N Police commended Sh Solomon Samuel for his exemplary service and dedication to duty for achieving this milestone. He remarked, "Sh Solomon Samuel's promotion is not only a personal achievement but also an inspiration for the Nicobari tribal youths aspiring to join A&N Police. His commitment to upholding the law and serving the community sets a high standard for all officers."

Hut Bay, June 14: Continuing the action against illegal activities in Hut Bay Jurisdiction, the Police team of Hut Bay seized huge quantity of crystalline Methamphetamine weighing 520 GRAM and 230 GRAMS Illicit Ganja. Accordingly, a case under NDPS Act registered at Police Station Hut Bay.

On 13/06/2023 at 2130 hrs., a credible information received from reliable source that one person is illegally Selling Ganja (Cannabis) and Methamphetamine from his home and if raid conducted, Illicit Ganja (Cannabis) and Methamphetamine can be recovered. Subsequently, the above information was passed on to SDPO Swaraj Dweep, who then directed to conduct raid immediately.

Mayabunder, June 14: On the basis of field reports from Tehsildar Diglipur and team of Revenue Officials, the Deputy Commissioner, N&M Andaman has imposed a significant penalty for the illegal extraction and transportation of 1500 CBM of earth from land, situated at Sitanagar village in Diglipur Tehsil. This activity was carried out without the necessary permissions and is a direct violation of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands Minor Mineral Rules, 2012.
