Diglipur, Feb. 7: In order to clear all the demarcation cases pending at Diglipur Tehsil, a Special Demarcation Drive w.e.f. 1st February, 2023 has commenced under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner, N& M Andaman, Mayabunder. So far, a total of 136 pending demarcation cases have been disposed of till date. Further, to accelerate the demarcation drive, 5 additional Surveyors from Mayabunder and Rangat Tehsil have also been engaged at Diglipur w.e.f 01.02.2023 till the completion of all pending cases. The entire team is expected to dispose of more than 300 pending cases by the end of this week.

Port Blair, Feb 7: The Andaman Sarvajanik Nirman Vibhag Mazdoor Sangh (ASNVMS), affiliated to CITU, has conducted a territory-wide mass demonstration in front of the offices of the APWD today (7.2.2023) demanding Bonus to all daily rated mazdoors working in APWD. The programme was organized after the decision of the Administration to limit the Adhoc Bonus only to those DRMs who have been benefitted with the 1/30th of pay plus DA.

Port Blair, Feb. 7: As part of the State Level Mock Disaster Management Exercise (TATPAR-2023) scheduled to be conducted on Feb.9, 2023 in A&N Islands, a Table Top Exercise (TTE) under the Chairmanship of Shri Nikhil Kumar, IAS, Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Disaster Management and Relief & Rehabilitation), A&N Administration was organized with the National Disaster Management Authority, Ministry of Home Affairs, GoI, New Delhi, Line Departments of A&N Administration, District Administrations (South Andaman, N&M Andaman and Nicobar), Armed Forces, NDRF, Police and other stakeholders of A&N Islands today in the Conference Hall of Secretariat in order to enhance the capacity towards Disaster Preparedness of A&N Islands.

Port Blair, Feb. 7: The supplementary exam of B.Ed. 1st and 2nd year for December, 2022 of Pondicherry University will be held in Tagore Government College of Education from Feb.21, 2023. The last date for remitting the examination fee is Feb.8, 2023. All eligible candidates have been requested to deposit the prescribed fees to the Cashier of the College before the scheduled date for online registration for the above exams.
