Port Blair, July 3: The Scheme Hub for Empowerment of Women aims to facilitate inter-sectoral convergence of schemes and programs meant for women both at the Central (NHEW), State/ UT level (SHEW) and District level (DHEW) with the mandate to create an environment in which women realize their full potential.
An awareness programme on the theme ‘Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita’ was recently conducted under the scheme Hub for Empowerment of Women (HEW) in the conference hall of Directorate of Industries. The programme was attended by Officers of Directorate of Social Welfare & Police Department, Staff of ICDS Project, Poshan Staff, HEW Staff and key stakeholders.

Port Blair, July 3: A new working body of the Muaythai Association of A&N Islands has been formed under the leadership of Mr. M. Vinod who is also the President of Andaman Association of Tour Operators.
For four years, the Muaythai Association of A&N has been burned with an unwavering fire, relentlessly forging champions from raw talent. Led by the indomitable Head Coach and General Secretary, Shri. N Jagadeka Varma, Team Andaman & Nicobar has stormed onto the national stage, conquering 6 tournaments and claiming a staggering 47 medals in the past three years.

Rangat, July 3: The list of selected candidates for the post of Anganwadi Worker & Anganwadi Helpers on honorarium basis at various Anganwadi Centres (AWCs) under ICDS Project, Rangat has been displayed in the Notice Board of the Office of the Child Development Project Officer, Rangat. Port Blair, July 3: The Skill Development Program (SDP) Centre of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Institute of Technology (DBRAIT) will be starting the new batches for six months course in Basic Automotive Servicing of Four Wheelers (Assistant Motor Vehicle Mechanic/ Service Mechanic) from July 15, 2024 (tentatively) from 9 am to 3 pm at the Skill Development Program Centre at DBRAIT. Interested candidates may apply for the course by collecting application form from the SDP Centre during working days.

Port Blair, July 3: A weeklong short term training programme was organized by the Directorate of Industries, A&N Administration to impart hands on training to the Officials of Agriculture Department at Extension Office, Department of Industries Port Blair, Diglipur, Bakultala, Hut Bay and Car Nicobar on manufacturing of Bee Hive Boxes. Altogether, 37 Officials of Agriculture Department and 22 trainees of Industries Department participated in the training program and were imparted basic skills and knowledge for making Bee Hive Boxes.
