New Delhi, Feb. 1(PIB): Describing the Budget-2023 as all-inclusive and far-sighted, Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation, Shri Amit Shah has congratulated Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi and Finance Minister, Smt. Nirmala Sitharaman.

In a series of tweets, Shri Amit Shah said that the Budget-2023 brought by the Government will lay a strong foundation for Amritkal. I am confident that, taking every section along, this all-inclusive and visionary budget will give further impetus to the resolve of the Government to make a self-reliant India.  I Congratulate the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Smt. Port Blair, Feb 1: The Member of Parliament, Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma has requested the Hon’ble Lt. Governor of Andaman & Nicobar Islands to organise sea swimming competition from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose (NSCB) Island (erstwhile Ross Island) to Aberdeen Jetty, Port Blair

In a letter addressed to the Hon’ble Lt. Governor, he mentioned that before 2018 for continuous four years, the Department of Youths had organized a sea swimming competition from Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose (NSCB) Island (erstwhile Ross Island) to Aberdeen Jetty, Port Blair.

Port Blair, Feb 1: The Union Budget 2023-24 has come at a time when the Indian economy has slowed down after the Covid pandemic for last 02 years. There is a global economic crisis all over and still many countries including India is trying to come out of it. Under this situation this budget should have addressed the core issues and must have included some concrete measures for boosting the economy and job creation.

New Delhi/ Port Blair, Feb 1: The Union Budget 2023-24 comes at a time when the Indian economy slowed down before the pandemic struck, worsened during the 2 pandemic years and the post pandemic recovery is adversely impacted by the global economic slowdown moving towards a possible recession. Under these circumstances this budget should have addressed the central issues of increasing people’s purchasing power with job generation and boosting the growth of domestic demand.

Port Blair, Feb 1: A Chirag Kumar, a class VII student of Naval Children School Port Blair has become the second A&N Islands’ chess player after R Kashthuri Bhai to have opened International Rating, both in Standard and Rapid Formats of Chess game as per the latest International Ratings published by the World Chess Federation on 31st January 2023. He recently participated in a Rapid Tournament at Bengaluru and played reasonably well which led him to open International Rapid Rating.
