Port Blair, Feb 27: The election materials bound for Little Andaman constituency arrived in the early hours of this morning at Hutbay by the special sailing of MV Kalighat. The materials on arrival at Hutbay was received by Shri Suneel Anchipaka, DC (SA)/DPME who is on a visit to Little Andaman to monitor the election arrangements and preparedness. The DPME personally monitored the materials being shifted and stored in the strong room facility at ALHW multipurpose hall at Hutbay.

Port Blair, Feb 27: The Andaman & Nicobar Territorial Congress Committee led by its Campaign Committee Chairman, G Bhasker hit streets of Mayabunder presenting road show and door-to-door campaign on Sunday in 5 different Panchayats. He was accompanied by City Congress Ex-General Secretary, Saji Varghese, DCC Secretary, Ameer Bux, Youth Congress Ex-General Secretary, Sebastian Tirkey and Ex-Block President, Ganesh Acharya.

Port Blair, Feb 27: The following party leaders are unilaterally suspended from the primary membership of party for a period of 6 years with immediate effect.

This is sequel to their anti-party activities during the Municipal & Panchayat Election -2022.

Port Blair, Feb 27: Due to outbreak of COVID pendamic and considering longer ship journey period between Port Blair and Mainland Island, the Andaman & Nicobar Administration taking a precautionary measure had suspended the passenger shipping service to Mainland Sector since last one and a half years. However, now with the improved COVID situation, the Directorate of Shipping Services has decided to gradually restore the Passenger Shipping Services in the Mainland Sector. In this regard, the vessel MV Campbell Bay has been planned to sail with passengers from Chennai to Port Blair on 08.03.2022 as per the following schedule. 

Port Blair, Feb 27: The Union Territory of A&N Islands observed the ‘National Immunization Day for Polio’ in the entire Territory today on 27th February 2022. Total 559 fixed booths were established. Arrangements were made to cover the children at bus terminals, sea ports. Apart from this, arrangements were also made to cover the children travelling by Inter Island Vessels as well as at Veer Savarkar International Air Port, Port Blair.
