Port Blair, July 4: Recently miss V. K. Mariyam Bibi ex -Adhyaksha Zilla Parishad met Director RD/PRIs and brought some issues related to shortcomings of basic facilities in Shore Point dumping yard as waste collected from ten different Gram Panchayats are dumped in this cluster for proper segregation, which is required to be done properly. Mariyam requested the Director to visit the spot and do the needful.

Port Blair, July 4: As part of Seva Hi Sanghathan - II programme under the vision of Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi and National President Bharatiya Janata Party Shri J.P. Nadda, today in the leadership of Shri Vishal Jolly, Former State President BJP A & N Islands, a tree plantation drive was undertaken at Veer Savarkar Park, Chouldari village this morning. The intention is to spread awareness of forest conservation and to save the environment. Over 101 fruit bearing and medicinal plants were planted by the BJP leaders and Karyakartas during the drive.

Port Blair, July 2: The Andaman & Nicobar Administration has now reached out to the Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups in the islands after covering most of the general islander populace in the Union Territory.

The Secretary Health and Civil Supplies, Shri R N Sharma on Thursday disclosed that the Andaman & Nicobar administration is committed to protecting the members of the PVTG in the archipelago and they are properly examined before administering the COVID-19 vaccines.

HRS Commences Saplings Planting to Commemorate Birth Centenary

Candavelou, Commissioner–cum–Secretary (Health), Dr. Omkar Singh, Director of Health Services and Shri Yash Chaudhary, Deputy Commissioner, Nicobar today visited Campbell Bay and Kamorta. The MP, along with the health authorities has been visiting different places in the islands to take stock of the impact of the second wave of Covid-19 and to assess the preparedness to combat the anticipated third wave of Covid-19 and also to review the medical facilities available in various places in the islands.
