Port Blair, June 19: Together with the rest of the world, the 10th edition of International Day of Yoga (IDY) will be observed in A&N Islands too on June 21, 2024. The theme for this year’s celebration is ‘Yoga for Self and Society’.
As part of the Yoga Day celebration, Hon’ble Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, in his letter addressed to all Gram Pradhans, has urged them to make holistic health a people-led movement by spreading more awareness about Yoga and Millet.

Port Blair, June 19: The Department of Social Welfare is committed to the welfare of the venerable sections of society and it ensured that all the beneficiaries are being paid Social Security Pension on monthly basis through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mode.
The Department is also the State Nodal Agency of the UT of Andaman & Nicobar Islands for implementation of National Social Assistance Programme (NSAP) of Ministry of Rural Development, Govt. of India for disbursement of Pension to the beneficiaries, viz-a-viz, Old Age Pension, Widow Pension and Disability Pension.

Port Blair, June 19: On the occasion of 'International Yoga Day', Sant Nirankari Mission will organize Yoga sessions in open spaces and parks under the guidance of local yoga instructors from 6.00 am in various branches of Sant Nirankari Mission established all over India.
The theme of this year's International Yoga Day has been given by the United Nations as 'Yoga for Women's Empowerment', which is undoubtedly the need of today's time. Sant Nirankari Mission is also trying to enable women empowerment by implementing many welfare schemes from time to time, mainly sewing and embroidery centers, beautician courses, tuition centers etc.
